| New charter operator 'Flamboyant Charters' ran thier second charter from Doncaster - Brighton, which i picked up at Grantham, with 87002 at the helm. The 'van' took us south on the ECML to London and Wembley yard where a loco change was to take place. The 87 detached and our insurance loco 47786 dragged the train from Willesden Railnet - Wembley Reception sidings for 73209 and 73205 to attach and take the train to Brighton. On arrival, with 5 hours to spare, i decided to do 377301 to Seaford as the branch is required track. Once back in Brighton i headed to pebble beach for a snooze, a couple of pints, and then walking back to the station ready for the run back north with traction the same as earlier. A very good tour, well organised and on time. Cheers |
